Mathilde Monnier

Since 1984, Mathilde Monnier has established herself as one of the central figures in contemporary French dance. Director of the Centre chorégraphique national de Montpellier (1994-2013), then of the Centre national de la danse (2013-2019), she has never ceased to reinterpret her art by multiplying her collaborations with artists from all horizons. She has recently worked with La Ribot and Tiago Rodrigues (Please please please) and is currently resident artist at La Halle Tropisme in Montpellier. The audience of the Avignon Festival knows her well. She presented L'Atelier en pièce (1996), Les lieux de là (1999), frère&sœur (2005), La Place du singe with Christine Angot (2005) and 2008 Vallée with Katerine (2008).
