Jinyeob Lee

Jinyeob Lee is a theatre director and founder of the Korean collective Elephants Laugh (2009). She explores how performance can reach people outside theatres. By entering neighbourhoods, homes, public spaces, she transforms everyday life into artistic encounters. Bringing social questions to the stage, inviting audiences to participate in the creation of meaning. Major works include MULJIL (2018), The Ethics of the Body (2015), Between glances: A Symphony of the Unsaid (2024) and community-based projects. Her work has received international acclaim.
