Collectif XY

Collectif XY work on acrobatic disciplines to put them back at the heart of the arts of movement. Drawing on the fundamentals of this circus technique, the artists play with its codes, rhythms, and forms to turn it into a language that unfolds in 360 degrees. From the outset, Collectif XY have chosen to work in large numbers in order to multiply possibilities and broaden their fields of exploration. This choice also reflects an artistic intent to question the notions of mass and crowds, the artists seeking to form a true collective by sharing skills and ideas, adopting a collegial mode of operation as part of a non-hierarchical system.
