The war in Ukraine has raised the question of the European project again. What are the values that underpin it, how was European identity constructed, and what relationship do Europeans have with others?

Presentation

By asking for the support of the European Union against Russian aggression, then for emergency adhesion to the Union, Ukraine invites us to question the place of war in a European project designed to build lasting peace. The solidity of the values that bring European together, what makes up European identity, and our relationship with otherness are being re-examined. How can we rethink European commitment for a time of crisis?
