We appear in a constantly changing form. Always at the edge between what we could become and what we think we are.

Presentation

Transformation is at the heart of all things. Neither bodies, objects, nature, feelings nor memories can escape it. The shape we appear as is in constant mutation. Always on the border between what we could become and what we believe we are.

Benjamin Karim Bertrand is a dancer and choreographer. In 2012, he performed Olivier Dubois’s Tragédie in the cloître des Carmes, then created the solo Orages (2015), inspired by his experience as a child abandoned at birth, followed by Rafales (2017), a duet full of waves. In 2019, his project about Noh theatre and funeral rites won him a residence at Villa Kujoyama. Upon his return, he created Vestiges (2021) and La Fin des forêts (2022), which together form what he calls his atlas of melancholy gestures. His association, RADAR, is based in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
