Presentation

A son of the circus, Simon Falguières already has had a long directing and writing career. Now he has decided to tackle a challenge only the most fearless still dare dream of: the dramatic saga. Thirteen hours of theatre, performed by seventeen actors, for a total of sixty characters and two hundred costumes! At once fairy tale and fantastic epic, his Nest of Ashes, reworked specifically for the Festival d’Avignon and performed in its entirety for the first time, is made up of seven plays which follow each other ceaselessly, forever keeping the spectators in a state of suspense and alertness. An adventure full of twists and turns which takes the audience on a journey into two worlds, that of dreams—the kingdom of Princess Anne—and that of reality—with actor Gabriel as protagonist. And although at the beginning of the show, those two are unaware of each other’s existence, soon they find themselves guided by a supernatural force and willing to do anything to save their worlds by bringing them together…
