Are we about to free ourselves from the cycle of sleep?

Presentation

In the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Mesopotamian hero already wanted to free himself from the cycle of sleep: to stay awake more than six days to become immortal. Centuries later, are we about to succeed where he failed? And if so, what will we become? A new humankind, at once eternal and eternally tired?
