Presentation

Since the end of the 1970s, the abolitionist cause has made great strides. Today, we consider that the death penalty is doomed to disappear. A symbol of a different time, what remains at stake regarding the death penalty today? Regularly discussed whenever a heinous crime makes the news, could the death penalty ever be reinstated in France? Capital punishment has been erased from the Code pénal, but is it still present in people’s minds?
