In Out of Context. For Pina, the choreographer Alain Platel goes back to the origins of dance and takes off on the search for a physical language tied to the subconscious, to the arbitrary and to the uncontrolled. When his 10 dancers come on stage, they are dressed in town clothes, young anonymous city-dwellers. But once their urban panoply is removed, they very quickly become nothing but gestures, spasms, tics and cries. Starting with this elementary alphabet, their bodies recompose a language: that of the different, that of the disadvantaged. Les ballets C de la B have decided to revive this show performed in 2010 at the Festival d'Avignon, where Alain Platel has already presented seven shows.
