Born in 1973, Sylvie Dyclo-Pomos is an actor, playwright and director in Brazzaville. La Folie de Janus (Janus' Folly) relates the destiny of one of the victims of the “Beach de Brazzaville”, on the banks of the Congo River where civilians returning to Brazzaville were massacred in 1999 after having fled the city during the war. A survivor's sharp and lively words provide an eye-witness account that tells of the highs and lows of life's journey. The text was first performed on stage in Brazzaville by Judith Depaule in December 2006.
