Il Silenzio (Silence), first performed in 2000, comes from the after-effects on Gibellina, a town in Sicily, of an earthquake which ravaged it in 1968. He uses the memory of a town destroyed, and returns to the moment where life and death crash into each other. Another instant, another space, where the unthinkable happens. The mute and suffering words of Bobò are the vehicle for this ever-to-be-unfinished silence.
