Marlene Monteiro Freitas and Israel Galván presents "RI TE"

RI TE is the story of a meeting as improbable as it is exhilarating: that of Marlene Monteiro Freitas, associate artist of the 2025 Festival d’Avignon, and Israel Galván, who like to introduce themselves as mismatched twins. Each comes as they are, without trying to force an illusory common ground or to erase their irreducible differences. These two bodies, striving to tame and challenge one another in equal measure, create before us a wildly free dialogue. Between the two choreographers and dancers, it’s all about flamenco: a shattered flamenco, all scattered pieces, where cries of olé ring out loudly and the floor is stomped with rubber boots. A flamenco one can’t but dance until all sense is lost.
