Théo Mercier
Artist, sculptor, and director Théo Mercier divides his time between Paris and Mexico. His sprawling work mixes temporalities and materials. His objects depict a suspended world, on the brink of collapse, by bringing together fragments of the past and elements of daily life. His work unfolds onstage in collaboration with faithful performers like Steven Michel (with whom he won the Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale of Dance in 2018), or François Chaignaud, Marlène Saldana, and Jonathan Drillet.
