Rebecca Journo
A contemporary dancer by training, Rebecca Journo co-founded the La Pieuvre company in 2018 with Véronique Lemonnier. Her first two solos, L'Épouse (2018) and La Ménagère (2019), were based on female archetypes. She then worked on the trio Whales (2021), which was inspired by whale songs. The four-person show Portrait (2022) explored the relationship between movement and photography, and more recently, Les amours de la pieuvre (2024) was inspired by symbolic representations of the octopus in Japan.
