Meng Jinghui

Born in 1965 in Changchun, Meng Jinghui studied direction at the Central Academy of Drama of China. The founder of the Meng Theatre Studio in 1997, he directs several theatre festivals in his country. A committed avant-garde artist, he has directed plays by Eugène Ionesco, Samuel Beckett, and Bertolt Brecht. He first came to the Festival d’Avignon in 2019 with Teahouse.
