Lazaro Benitez
Performer, choreographer, dance researcher, citizen of the world, Lazaro Benitez, was born in Cuba and settled in Marseille since 2019. His artistic research explores the borders of the body and of gender performance, and he works on a choreographic writing of the social in conversation with the issues and power relationships of modern societies as expressions of dissidence and art-activism. In 2015, he created his first show within the alternative art world of Havana, at the crossroads between dance, performance, personal story, and video.
